My relationship is personal....
So, today here I was waiting for the bus and I thought
started thinking back and forth about God and relationships being personal.
Now granted, the relationship I have with God is a personal
relationship. I will share intimate
details about my life that I wouldn’t just share with anyone. Just like a married person is intimate with
their spouse and doesn’t share those intimate details with everyone.
Why bring this up?
Where am I going with this?
I find it ironic that you talk to someone who clearly doesn’t
know God – and their excuse for not wanting to talk about God or their faith is
because they believe that their relationship with God is personal. I don’t disagree, again it is personal.
Just like I have a personal relationship with God – a married
person has a intimate relationship with their spouse. Well I can still ask that person about their
spouse, and they share with me certain details about who the person is.
I’m not asking someone to share their intimate relationship
with God to the whole world – but can you share who God is with me?
