People are starving...in more ways than one.

Today, I came across the above picture on Facebook, and I really had to stop and think about this.

How can it be that we live in a world and society where people are dying left, right and centre, yet when a big CELEB name comes up and dies - it's all over the headlines and all over the news and well it's just everywhere.  But my big concern is, how can this be?

No, don't get me wrong perhaps it is a loss to the world that a great musician has passed away; BUT - yes I love saying BUT - how do we know that these children who are passing away left right and centre wouldn't do greater things than Whitney Houston or other Celebrities if they were just given the chance.

Now - why aren't starving people around the world given an opportunity to step up?

Now - we can look at the negative of these starving people, or we can look in the mirror.

People generally don't want to look at those starving children.  Why?  Because you're looking at yourself in the mirror when you look at those children.

Those children are one die going to die of hunger because they weren't provided any nutrients or any food.

 KJV: Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Now - there are many people in the world who are going to die without knowing God or without knowing Jesus Christ.

Now - the reason TV channels show funerals for people such as Whitney Houston or Michael Jackson and many other celebrities is because people reminisce about these things.  Now - if they started showing children starving throughout the world on every channel for about a week straight - one of two things would happen.  People would be so saddened and moved by this that they would start donating money - OR - people would just stop watching TV and start doing other things to not have to watch such a thing.

Just as these children will die without physical food - many people will die without knowing the Word of God.

So the question again today is, do you know God?  Do you know the words that God spoke in the beginning?  Do you know the words that Jesus spoke?
